The upgraded DITAworks is now compatible with the new releases of oXygen XML Web Author and Alfresco.

Stuttgart, June 28, 2017 ―  instinctools, a Stuttgart-based software firm offering solutions and services in the areas of information management, has announced the newest release of its DITA Content Component Management System DITAworks. The new DITAworks release, amongst other upgrades, includes updates to correspond to the new versions of Alfresco CMS and oXygen XML Web Author.

DITAworks, in general, is designed to work with all CMIS-enabled content management systems and can be adapted according to the customer needs. DITAworks customers can save a great deal of time and money in the implementation of their DITA content strategy as instinctools also provides pre-existing connectors for the leading enterprise content management systems Alfresco and IBM FileNet.

With the current release, the existing connector for Alfresco has been upgraded to be interoperable with the current version 5.2.1 of Alfresco.

An update was made as well to the integrated oXygen XML Web Author, with which the topic-based content can be conveniently edited in WYSIWYG mode.  The new DITAworks release now integrates version 18.1 of oXygen.

Based on the international DITA standard, companies can implement a future-proof information strategy and benefit from advantages such as content reuse, multi-channel publishing, separation of content and layout, and target-oriented content distribution.
