Both the companies have joined hands to bring an optimal solution for publishing scientific, engineering, or other complex mathematical content. Now, DITAworks CMS will have MathFlow integrated in it to let the users work with mathematical formulas and equations right in the editor.

Stuttgart, May 27, 2015 – *instinctools, a reputed German software company offering solution and development services in the areas of Information Management, and Design Science, worldwide leaders in software for scientific and technical communication, have entered into a partnership agreement to provide MathML support in DITAworks CMS (Content Management System) through Design Science’s MathFlow product. This integration will open a new avenue for the companies or organizations that not only want to have a state-of-the-art DITA CMS but want to edit and work with mathematical formulas and equations in their content as well.

DITAworks is a ready-to-use DITA CMS with enterprise-grade component content management functionality. It comes in two versions: DITAworks Webtop for onsite installation and DITAworks Cloud, a cloud service that provides an affordable way for users to benefit from the productivity of a modern, topic-oriented documentation using the state-of-the-art CMS infrastructure. The DITAworks product line also includes other product variants and additional modules that can be deployed as per customer requirements. These DITA CMS products provide sound solutions in structured documentation, structured content und single source publishing areas for small to big enterprises.

MathFlow is widely used in publishing, aerospace, defense, education, government, science and engineering, e-learning, assessment, as well as enterprise solutions and commercial products. MathFlow is a set of tools used to add math editing, formatting, and accessibility to publishing systems. The technology at the heart of MathFlow is MathML, the XML standard for representing mathematical notation that is an integral part of many documentation and accessibility standards, including HTML5, EPUB 3, DAISY, DITA, DocBook, NLM, etc.

Through MathFlow’s integration, the functionality of DITAworks Webtop and DITAworks Cloud has been expanded to support the Mathematical Markup Language (MathML) as well. The users can now use the editor to edit or add the mathematical formulas and equations right in DITAworks. This will help the organizations by improving the productivity in creating, reusing, and publishing scientific, engineering, or other complex mathematical content. The time and costs to accomplish these tasks can be reduced dramatically by adopting this integrated CMS solution.
